This is horrifically short -- I have 28 hours before departing for points north for a Downeast wedding, and about 36 hours' worth of stuff to do in that time. But I wanted to let fellow Old Dominion Kossacks that I'm creating a website and online meetup point for Bernie Sanders supporters in Virginia at (naturally!) virginiansforbernie.com. It's a placeholder-with-signup at the moment; all I had time for in the last 50 minutes, but up and running.
As soon as I am back, I will put it together in earnest with a public front area for voters who are curious about Bernie's politics, history, and positions on the issues, and a members area for Bernie supporters to connect by county/region as well as statewide, share ideas, strategies, and information, and begin building a ground game for the Sanders campaign when it expands to Virginia.
My first and foremost goal: Get Bernie on the ballot!
I will diary that particular goal in full, along with an action plan of what it's going to take to make it happen, when I return. In the meantime, please take a moment to visit virginiansforbernie.com, share the site with any friends/relatives/compatriots you have in VA, and help spread the word that we are going to make it happen for Bernie in Virginia!
