When even the Republican hard-right anti-immigrant nutcase Tom Tancredo tells you
you need to tone it down:
Former Rep. Tom Tancredo (R-CO) told the Denver Post that [Donald Trump] “needs to be a little bit more artful” when talking about his views on immigration. [...]
“He should take lessons from me on how to talk to the press. For a small fee — no, actually for a very large fee — I will help him out. You’ve got to learn how to talk about it, which takes years of practice, which God knows I’ve had,” Tancredo told the Post.
... you might want to tone it down. Or not.
Tancredo, you probably do not recall, ran for president in 2008 on an anti-immigrant platform similar to Trump's current effort. He didn't do well, and went on use his singularly toxic fame and anti-immigrant obsession to artfully lose two subsequent bids for the governorship of Colorado. He is, in other words, quite possibly the best strategist Trump could possibly hire to work on his campaign, and we heartily endorse the idea of bringing him aboard.
