That's one way to get their attention!
The residents of Cesena, Italy really, really want the Foo Fighters to perform in their city. They love the Foo Fighters so much that 1,000 residents spent an entire year learning instruments, practicing and fundraising to make the most epic video invite ever. If this doesn't work, nothing will:
They know it'll be enjoyed worldwide, but:
After the song is played group founder Fabio Zaffagnini says: "I guess this video is going to be seen by a huge amount of people all over the world, but to be true it's been conceived to be addressed just to five people.
"So to Chris, Pat, Nate, Taylor and Dave Grohl, the Foo Fighters. Italy is a country where dreams cannot easily come true, but it's a land of passion and creativity. So what we did here is just a huge miracle."
Your move, Foo!
Fri Jul 31, 2015 at 11:53 AM PT: That didn't take long. Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters has responded with a video on Facebook (seen here.)
The message is in Italian, but here's the translation:
"Hi, Cesena! I am David, hello. I’m sorry, I don’t speak Italian. Only a little, a little. That video - but how beautiful! Very beautiful. Thank you very much [literally: a thousand thanks]. We are arriving [coming], I promise. We’ll see each other soon. Thank you very much. I love you. Bye."
