Voters in Mississippi go to the polls Tuesday for party primaries for statewide offices and legislative contests. In Pennsylvania, voters will choose new state representatives in two seats. The main action is in Pennsylvania's HD-161, where Democrats are tyring to score a pickup in a seat Obama won 56-43. Democrat Leanne Krueger-Braneky faces Republican Paul Mullen, with conservative Republican Lisa Esler running as a write-in candidate.
The polls close in both states at 8 PM ET. In Mississippi races were no one takes more than 50 percent, the top two vote-getters will advance to an Aug. 25 runoff.

9:01 PM PT (David Nir): Win! LKB defeated Mullen by a 48-42 margin, with Esler scooping up about 10 percent. A great victory in a difficult race, and a pickup for Democrats as Republicans previously held this seat.
