Yes, I stole the phrase for the movie "Field of Dreams" movie starring Kevin Costner back in the late 1980's. But the phrase clearly applies to the Bernie Sanders campaign for president as well. This was proven on July 29, 2015 as supporters of Sanders for president set up 3,700 events nationwide, and as a result, 100,000 signed up on the Sanders website to participate in these events, making it one of the most, if not the most sucessful organizing events in U. S. presidential election history.
So, based on that success, we need to adopt the same strategy on October 13, 2015, by arranging viewing parties to watch the first Democratic presidential debate that evening, but more importantly, to cheer on Bernie and watch him rock the debate stage!!
There are numerous Sanders supporters who have already stepped up to the plate and organized a debate viewing party. Take for instance, Dave and Jocelyn Nelson of Greenville, North Carolina. Armed with the tools the Sanders campaign has given them, they have arranged a debate party at their home on October 13, 2015 by posting it on Bernie's website almost two months prior to the debate, and already have 9 Sanders supporters signed up to attend, out of a capacity of 14:

So there you have it - volunteers helping to grow the movement and build enthusiasm from the ground up. Some have chosen to host a small event in their home, and others have gone big, hosting an event for a large number of people for a dinner at a restaurant.
So, how about hosting a debate party on October 13, 2015 in your area? Not sure how to do this - no worries. The Sanders campaign has the tools on their website to help you organize a successful debate party. Here is the link from the Sanders website that walks you through the process:

The Sanders campaign has a page with links to show you how to organize all types of events and you can use the link below to determine what type of event is right for you:
