This is how New York police go after an non-violent alleged "Identity Thief"?
As has been pointed out not only was James Blake was totally innocent, but that the person that they supposedly mistook him for was also totally innocent.
The officers also had an Instagram photo of someone believed to be involved. That person, who Mr. Bratton said looked like Mr. Blake’s “twin brother,” turned out to have no role in the scheme.
Just like the Officer who used an unauthorized choke-hold on Eric Garner
had previous cases of brutality against him this was not the "first takedown rodeo" by this particular Officer, he's gotten physical
repeatedly with no just cause.
One lawsuit claims the grand-larceny cop was among several who “sadistically and maliciously” beat Warren Diggs outside his Queens home in January 2013. Diggs, 39, told The Post that Frascatore was the first cop to punch him. He said he wasn’t surprised to hear of the Blake incident.
“This guy needed to go a long time ago . . . He likes putting his hands on people,” Diggs said.

Last year, WNYC radio revealed the five complaints filed against Frascatore with the Civilian Complaint Review Board — noting that it was more complaints than get lodged against 90 percent of cops during their entire careers.
So why exactly does any Officer with this record still have a job on the New York Police force?
