Hillary Clinton is fired up and building a huge coalition of
Democratic endorsements.
A 56 percent majority of Democratic governors, senators and U.S. House members have endorsed Clinton for president, according to data tracked byFiveThirtyEight.
The graphic shows how far Clinton is ahead of her rivals.
Wikipedia has a HUGE list of her endorsements, including politicians (at every levels), business people, academics, celebrities, etc. I'm talking HUNDREDS. Compared to the other candidates . . . hell, right now there is no comparison. She is far, far ahead with a wide conglomeration of endorsers across the spectrum of life.
Despite the glitch in polling, she's seriously cleaning up. As it relates to political endorsements from other Democrats:
Endorsements are a key indicator of candidates’ standing in the “invisible primary” -- the period before any caucuses and primaries in which candidates compete for the endorsement of party leaders, interest groups and activists. Endorsements provide a window into how the invisible primary is playing out, and most importantly, they have proven more predictive than early polls in how candidates eventually fare among voters in caucuses and primaries
And even more important? There are months to go before a primary and a month before any debate, but Hillary has 56% of all potential Democratic office holder endorsements.
Three components of the endorsement race demonstrate Clinton’s strength. What’s fascinating about the data above is not just Clinton’s advantage – it's big – but that she already has reached an absolute majority of endorsements among all potential endorsements. It's September -- five months before any actual voting. Even if Biden or Sanders rounded up every uncommitted Democratic senator, House member and governor, they would max out at 44 percent. Among elected Democrats who have endorsed anyone in the race so far, 97 percent have backed Clinton.
Bolding emphasis mine.
It's important to emphasize that last point. Hillary has been endorsed by 97% of Democratic office holders who have endorsed anyone. 97%!! I mean you round that bad boy up and that is 100% . . . 97% of all Democratic office holders who are going to endorse ANYONE, endorse Hillary Clinton.
That's not bad.
Eh! It's a big fucking deal. Go Hillary! Keep your eyes on the prize.
