Snarkwire: After a late night viewing of The Amazing SpiderMan 2, Martin Shkreli, CEO of Turing Pharmaceuticals [No relation to the great Alan Turing], announced he'd be using the windfall profits from the recent Daraprim price hike to combat what he referred to as "the scourge of Retroviral Hyperplasia". Asked why he decided to tackle this purely fictional affliction he stated. "The loss of Norman Osborne [head of OsCorp] really hit home. He was a great man. Really my kind of guy-- and it spurred me to thinking 'we can't just wait for diseases to enter the real world to start ostensibly working on a cure for them' " He went on to call for fictional New Yorker Peter Parker to be detained so his blood could be harvested for a possible cure. Neither Peter Parker nor His wife Mary Jane Watson could be reached for comment as they are fictional.
