This is just sheer cowardice. After all that talk about
"the Hispanics" loving him, Donald Trump is running for cover because he might have to answer a few questions about branding Latino immigrants as rapists and drug dealers and murderers. So he's cancelled an appearance at the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce,
reports Suzanne Gamboa:
USHCC spokesman Ammar Campa-Najjar said Friday Trump withdrew his participation in the session that has featured three other presidential candidates from both parties and will host a fourth on Tuesday, because Trump was concerned he would be "put on trial" and was unwilling to abide by terms and conditions of the candidate series.
Michael Cohen, an attorney and adviser to Trump, was not immediately available for comment when contacted by NBC News.
In a statement, the chamber said it refused to change the format of the Q&A session, show favoritism, exclude any issues or topics or "grant immunity from objective scrutiny of his policies."
Trump might have had to play by the same rules as every other presidential candidate, and that would clearly be unfair. There's nothing The Donald despises more than being treated like everyone else. Take that Megyn Kelly, for example, she was just so unfair with all the pesky questions about his past statements.
Let's face it, Trump withered like a delicate flower under the questioning of a Fox News host. Just how is this guy gonna stand up on the world stage?
