I'm not surpised no one's mentioned this yet, because really, who the hell cares about Bobby Jindal anymore, aside from the occasional source of mirth? After all, the one time GOP golden boy and Great Dusky Hope is now the very definition of "washed up," hated in his home state and an afterthought in polls, so much that rising from 4 points to 6 points in Iowa is apparently cause for celebration. But this little news from the Jindal front is worth noting, because, if we needed any more proof that Bobby is a very, very, very bad excuse of a human being, well, we got it now.
Not surprisingly, it's about the Oregon massacre, as mass shooting do seem to have a knack for bringing out the worst in the right. And while Ben Carson's kamikaze attack theories may be getting the most attention, Bobby decided to get in on the action too by posting his views in a lengthy blog post. Take a guess how it went:
Gov. Bobby Jindel says the absence of fathers in young boys' lives and pop culture that glorifies violence are to blame for the recent round of mass shootings in the United States.
But not guns, of course. Never guns.
Now, this seems very routine GOP spin post shooting massacre that we've heard a million times. But no, Bobby decided to get specific on who's to blame.
Jindal specifically blamed the father of Christopher Harper-Mercer for the mass shooting his son carried out on a Oregon community college campus last week. Harper-Mercer's father didn't live in the same state as his son and didn't know his son owned so many guns.
"This killer's father is now lecturing us on the need for gun control and he says he has no idea how or where his son got the guns," Jindal wrote in an opinion piece that appears on his presidential campaign website.
"Why didn't he know? Because he failed to raise his son. He should be ashamed of himself, and he owes us all an apology," Jindal wrote.
I don't think this needs a better response then the one
Josh Marshall gave in TPM:
Sick.
And:
Bobby Jindal appears to be a seriously disturbed, morally degenerate individual.
Or just a really, really desperate has-bin trying for some attention.
