He's still the one.
After the last GOP debate, we were subjected to a GOP- and media-establishment blitz
proclaiming failed CEO Carly Fiorina as the big winner. The effort was so successful, I had several casual friends insist to me that Fiorina was "leading in the polls," when obviously no such thing ever happened.
The reality? Let's look at the polling aggregate from Huffington Post:
Looks like the concentrated anti-Trump blitz dented his numbers, but he's recovering just fine thank you very much. Fiorina's little bump is already fading. And that was that.
What about the rest of the field? Ben Carson has leveled off after his "I hate Muslims" bump, Sen. Marco Rubio is apparently picking up Gov. Scott Walker's support, Bush (the one dumber than the former presidents) is continuing his excruciatingly slow death, and Sen. Ted Cruz is still a thing that exists.
But Trump? He's still Trump, and he's still in the driver's seat, no matter how much everyone outside of the Democratic Party wants him to go away.
(If you want a smarter take on the resilience of Donald Trump and his danger to the GOP establishment, this is awesome.)
