The republican presidential hopefuls are fighting each other “like cats and dogs”, according to the infamous Ted Cruz. Of course, this jokester has got a head start on the presidential campaign trail, but is he truly presidential material? Many of his supporters feel that he is the man for the job. Many republican and democratic voters seem to think otherwise and I just happen to be one of them.
The republicans are currently trying to decide who should replace the house speaker, John Boehner. Kevin McCarthy, whom FOX news supporters rallied behind, has now withdrawn his bid for speaker. Jason Chaffetz and Daniel Webster are hoping to fill Boehner’s position, but are they up for the task?
Everyone was shocked, when McCarthy withdrew his bid. Did you just happen to see that tear dropping from Boehner’s eye? Boy, can he ever soak a handkerchief? I must say that he is one weak man, which makes one wonder how he ever achieved the speaker leadership role. Of course, even the backwards Boehner cannot hold a candle to the arrogance and bewilderment of Ted Crud. Just earlier this year, Cruz had his big boy panties packed up and ready to move into the White House, but not so quick dear old boy. Unfortunately for Ted, Donald Trump is on the scene.
So, where did Ted’s campaign go wrong? First, he rallied up his conservative base and convinced them he could put an end to Obamacare. After the infamous Green, Eggs and Ham speech, Ted was riding. Days later, the government was shutdown and the battle commenced. Unfortunately for Ted, he achieved nothing after that debacle. Just about a week ago, Cruz was at it again. This time he set his sights on Planned Parenthood. Thankfully, the establishment GOP reigned in their little “Benjamin Healy” and put an end to his devilish scheme.
Don’t forget the big Kim Davis rally, which definitely excited the wacky conservatives. Can you recall who was missing from action that day? Yep, it was none other than Ted Cruz. Surely, you’ve seen the video, where Mike Huckabee’s flunky refuses to allow Ted to take to the stage? The altercation was hilarious, pitiful and depression all at the same time. Of course, Huckabee’s flunky likely saved Cruz from even more humiliation that day.
Cruz’s next stop is putting an end to Sanctuary Cities. At this point, I am a little baffled why he even bothers. Ted and his merry men of misfits introduced the “Stop Sanctuary Policies and Protect Americans Act” this week. This will prove to be another failure for Cruz. As a Sanctuary City dweller myself, I have never had a problem with any Mexican, but I suppose Cruz would rather take away from poor cities and bulk up his Koch brother allies.
In the end, Cruz’s terrible Senate performance never ceases to amaze me. He promised to stop Obamacare and failed. He attempted to rally for Kim Davis and was pushed to the side. His futile attempt to stop the Iran deal was laughable and now this. Cruz won’t win the presidency. So, the real question revolves around his permanency in the Senate. If I could kick one Republican Senator out, it would definitely be Cruz, who shows empathy for his Middle Eastern allies than his own American people.
