So many stories, so little time. The War on Women continues as existing fronts are expanding and new battles erupt.
But even in this bleak landscape, there are some signs of Hope: the surprising Tunisian Nobel Peace Prize; a “We Can Do It” how-to from the U.K. Women’s Equity Party; Australia deported an anti-abortion extremist; Ellie Smeal’s induction into the Women’s Hall of Fame; a ruling that the so-called “Center for Medical Progress” (CMP) and leader David Daleidan must turn over all unreleased "sting" videos and outtakes of the National Abortion Federation meetings to NAF; and a Circuit Court of Appeals Judge rejected her petition so anti-abortion extremist Angel Dillard must stand trial.
There are links for these hopeful stories below, marked with *.

Still a Long Way from Equal Pay:
The Huge Pay Gap for Latina Women and the AAUW Overall Statistics
Latinas are paid 54 percent of what non-Hispanic white men are paid. That means it takes Latinas almost an entire extra year of full-time, year-round work in order to be paid what the average white man took home by December 31. As AAUW’s research shows, women of every race and ethnicity experience a gender pay gap. All these groups are paid only a portion of white, non-Hispanic men’s earnings: Asian American women (90 percent); white, non-Hispanic women (78 percent); African American women (64 percent); Native Hawaiian and other Pacific Islander women (62 percent); and American Indian and Alaska Native women (59 percent). Altogether, women working full time, year round in the United States in 2014 were paid an average of only 79 percent of what white, non-Hispanic men are paid.

Walter Griffy Connects the Dots of Violence in America in
“I Wish I Didn’t Recognize This Place”
He begins with the shooting at Santa Monica College in 2013 which is an all-too-familiar story for me. I worked in Santa Monica for 17 years and knew some people who were on the SMC campus that day, so I anxiously awaited the details of what happened, and the names of the dead and wounded. My friends were OK, but each had known at least one of the victims. Violence is a Women’s Issue – we are all too often its targets.

What does it take to get a university to investigate sexual harassment accusations?
Berkeley Astronomy Professor to Resign – AFTER protest launched over a UCB ruling that if he was accused again then they’d investigate, instead of opening an investigation of sexual harassment allegations already reported, some dating back to 2001.

Former Senator Trent Lott Resurfaces as a Lobbyist for the National Association of Fraternities.
They're pushing a so-called "Safe Campus Act," which would restrict colleges from punishing students for sexual assault unless the police are also involved. Other illegal behaviors -- such as theft or physical assault -- would not be held to this requirement. It's obvious their concern is not for the safety of the women students on campus.
