The movie will be released in December right before the first primaries. It's called The Big Short and is directed by Adam McKay, who incidentally has endorsed Bernie Sanders. It stars Christian Bale, Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling and Brad Pitt (disclaimer: I am a huuge Gosling fan!) and its based on the true story and best-selling book by Michael Lewis (The Blind Side, Moneyball). It's about four outsiders who saw what the big banks, media and government refused to see, the global collapse of the economy, they had an idea: The Big Short. Their bold investment leads them into the dark underbelly of modern banking where they must question everyone and everything.
Seems like it's being released at an opportune time for Bernie. Amazing set of coincidences.
