Poor wittle Phill Kline.
In 2013 he lost his license to practice law because he abused the public trust as an elected prosecutor and attorney general of Kansas. He was charged by the state bar with unethical conduct and lost after a hearing there. Then he lost again after a review by the state supreme court. (True, some justices recused themselves and per state rule they were replaced from the state’s appellate judiciary .)
Both before and after he lost his license, he began teaching law at the Liberty University law school in Lynchburg, Va. Good job jump, eh? No one would hire him in Kansas, so he went to a recently accredited (in 2006) Christian law school which apparently believes he was doing God’s work when he lied about what he was doing to Planned Parenthood.
Maybe not such a good job jump. By teaching at an accredited law school without a license Kline is practicing law without a license. The Virginia bar could proceed with that. And guess what? Liberty’s accreditation should be in jeopardy for continuing to employ him after he lost his license. Certainly, after he lost his appeal to the state supreme court.
Now, he’s desperate. He has filed an action in federal district court seeking an order reversing the supreme court decision. http://www.kansascity.com/... Guess what? That court has no jurisdiction to hear his case. He should have appealed the state decision to the U.S. Supreme Court instead. He’s making a collateral attack on a civil judicial decision of a state supreme court. I was always taught that can’t be done.
Anyway, not only should Phill be ridiculed, charges should be brought against Liberty for permitting him to teach.
Bye, Phill. Enjoy selling shoes.
