As most of us probably know by now, Democrat Jack Conway has lost the KY Gov's race by a margin more than double of what he was supposed to be leading by-8, vs. 5. Despite the KY GOP running a dud candidate, the Kim Davis Psycho Rural White Bigot Party stepped up to the plate and officially titled the Bluegrass State, Ground Zero for Stupid.
But the polling is bad. The only thing I can figure is that response rates are now so low as to be rendered unreliable. This means that red states and blue states, more than ever, can be expected to do red state and blue state things. Going from down 5, (and what about the idea that Conway was 95 percent leading?) to winning by eight is not somewhat surprising-it represents a waterloo for polling. Far too many wild misses are accumulating and King Gallup stepped down from its throne and gave up the polling ghost.
Meanwhile the next time I want to visit 1955 I will go to KY.
In other news, supposedly polling is showing Hillary recovering after her strong testimony at the Benghazipalooza Circus, and Marco Rubio is bouncing after his debate showing-even though all of the grassroots energy is with Cruz following his media broadside. It is both a bunch of bull-oney. Hillary never was seriously affected by the email, slash Benghazi, slash did she use an expired coupon at Publix while on a campaign trip to FL, et. al. And Rubio is being propped up by establishment GOP types desperate to avert a coup in their primary.
Polling is worthless.
And about the President's low poll numbers in the state-the President is black, the end.
Don't like the truth? Change the reality of the situation. Obama has done a better job relative to Clinton, and does anyone think Bill was dragging people down in 1999?
Conway is being drug down by a state party who is running as fast as they can from the black guy (and himself to a degree) and his healthcare, all the while the same idiot-ass voters enjoy, and even demand, KyNect.
But black. And pro-equality. And generally an all-around respectful man. Nope that just won't work for KY.
So to 52 percent of KY, here is hoping that your cable gets stuck on Bravo for the next ten years. Maybe then you will see a value in the talents of ALL people.
Peace and love.
