Donald Trump
just keeps talking, so let's let the man speak for himself:
“You know, a lot of the gangs that you see — this doesn’t hopefully pertain to you guys so much — when you look at Baltimore, when you look at Chicago, and Ferguson a lot of these areas,” Trump said on FM Talk 1065AM on Thursday. “You know, a lot of these gang members are illegal immigrants. They’re gonna be gone. We’re gonna get them out so fast, out of this country. So fast.”
Uh, so many questions. Is this Trump's idea of Latino outreach? Related, he's suggesting that the largely African American protesters of Ferguson and Baltimore are 1) gangs and 2) illegal immigrants? I guess it's a kind of Latino outreach ... "hey, buck up, guys, my slurs aren't
only against Mexicans. It's equal opportunity! Except for white people. White people don't have as equal an opportunity for this treatment, poor fellows."
Also note that the mass deportation element of Trump's anti-immigrant plan would cost $141 billion. That cost would rise substantially, though, if President Trump decided that the "illegal immigrants" to be deported should include everyone whose ancestors arrived on slave ships.
These wise words from Trump came on a Mobile, Alabama, radio show ahead of a Friday evening appearance in Mobile for which a 14,000-seat arena proved unable to handle demand for tickets and the event had to be moved to the local college football stadium.
