Hey everyone! Sorry I've been M.I.A. for the past few weeks. Had to go out of town for a work thing and I had some other things that needed my attention. Going to get back into the swing of things this week. Received this e-mail today from former Governor Ted Strickland's (D. OH) U.S. Senate campaign:
It's looking more likely by the day.
Republicans in Congress will shut down the government to block funding for Planned Parenthood.
We've gone down this road before. The last time Congress played this political game and closed down the federal government, we all suffered the consequences: fewer jobs were created, parks were closed, and progress was slowed. With such high stakes, we can't allow another shutdown to happen. (Please sign my petition if you agree.)

Yet, despite the hurt that another shutdown would cause Ohio, Rob Portman is a big part of the problem. He's holding our government hostage to defund women's healthcare.
There are only days remaining for Congress to fund the government and avoid another shutdown, but Portman refuses to back down. We need to put the pressure on him before it's too late:

We can chart a smarter path forward toward progress. But to do it, we need to change who we're sending to Washington. To do that, I'm counting on your support.
Thanks,
Ted
