If you’re a Hillary Clinton supporter looking for reassurance from her email team, I’ve got bad news for you. They’d rather tell you about how awesome Bernie Sanders is. Here’s what I’ve gotten today:
Bernie raised $6 million yesterday
In the 24 hours after the polls closed in New Hampshire, Bernie Sanders' team says they raised more than $6 million.
One of Bernie's top strategists even bragged: "We are a better campaign … And as of today, I believe we have more resources, campaign to campaign, to expend. We are demonstrating that resource superiority by going on television all across this country.”
Markos, I think he's dead wrong about who has a better campaign -- but unfortunately, he's right about who has more resources. We were outspent 3-to-1 on television in New Hampshire, and we need to make sure that doesn't happen again. Can you chip in $1 right now to help close the gap?
We have 14 contests in the next three weeks, and we just can't allow our team to be outraised and outspent like this. This team is bigger, more diverse, and more enthusiastic than Bernie’s team -- it's time for us to show it.
It’s hilariously pathetic for the Clinton camp to be complaining about lagging in resources since they had the world available to them. But instead of focusing on exciting partisan Democrats, they sequestered Hillary in rooms with hedge fund managers begging for $5,400 checks. And now, they’re being flooded by an army of small dollar donors because the other campaign—the campaign that is better—focused instead on inspiring actual people. Imagine that!
It’s breathtaking how incapable her campaign has been in 1) learning from the 2008 elections, and 2) learning from the 2016 elections. I mean, even as she asks people to donate $1 to her—to bring down her average donation so it doesn’t look so one percent loaded, I get this email:
Dear Friend,
Hillary needs you now; in three days the voters of New Hampshire will participate in the nation’s first primary. Just three weeks later, 11 states will vote on Super Tuesday. You’ve been with her since the beginning and we thank you for your support. She needs your support again today; Hillary is clearly the only candidate in this race who will proudly protect Obama’s work and legacy.

Can you feel the excitement over those exciting events, closed to anyone that doesn’t have at least $500 to spare? Really puts that $1 ask into perspective, right? Instead of spending February 21 campaigning in any of the upcoming contests and getting people excited to see her, she’s huddled up again with high earners.
Me, I’m not sure how I got into that email list. I donated $10 to the campaign to get a sign I could hang on the office wall. I did the same thing with the Sanders campaign. The signs hang next to each other. But the Sanders campaign never invites me to $27,000 events. Weird, that.
It truly boggles the mind, they see the Sanders campaign swamp them on fundraising, yet they continue to do the exact same thing that put them in this predicament in the first place.
But that’s not all! It’s not enough that they whine about being outspent even as they maintain the status quo, they also want to remind their supporters about that horrible loss they just suffered:
No intention of losing
Friend --
No mincing words here: We lost New Hampshire.
And while I'm so proud of what this team did, I have to ask: Did we do absolutely everything we could? Did we all step up and chip in what we could when it mattered most?
Bernie Sanders' team certainly did. The results from last night are proof of that.
I have no intention of losing this nomination, and neither does Hillary. Winning it -- and the presidency -- is just too damn important -- and we need 22 more people from your area to stand with Hillary today. If you're in to win, chip in $1 right now

Clinton has a much more favorable map in the next three weeks than Sanders does. But why dwell on the opportunities ahead when you can remind your supporters of all that losing you just did? If I was a Clinton partisan I doubt that would invigorate me, but maybe that’s just me.
Too bad we don’t have actual polling for the upcoming contests (or even good national polling) so we could get a better sense as to how Clinton’s demographic firewall is holding up. But apparently with New Hampshire done, so are pollsters.
So for now, I’ll just marvel at the dramatic differences between Bernie Sanders’ insanely competent guys and gals driving his online fundraising, and the insanely incompetent crowd of advisors, finance people, and Clinton hanger-ons that have fucked up her standing with such a huge part of the base electorate.
