The day after claiming that Ted Cruz’s father may have been in on the assassination of JFK, and after months of endless character attacks (not to mention insulting wife Heidi Cruz on her looks), the presumptive nominee for the Republican Party, Donald Trump, appeared on MSNBC’s Morning Joe (where else?) and was asked if he wanted an endorsement from Cruz. Said Trump:
Well, I think it would be nice. You know, I've been saying for a long time that there's some people that I almost don't want their endorsement, Republicans, I really don't, because it was too rough and they were too nasty.
Comedy. Bear in mind that on Tuesday, Cruz called Trump a “pathological liar,” said he is "utterly amoral,” and is the “biggest narcissist" ever. Not to mention saying that Trump is:
"… proud to be a serial philanderer. He talks about his battles with venereal disease as his personal Vietnam."
But apparently that doesn’t fall into the “too nasty” category for Trump.
So, will Cruz endorse him? Maybe. But if the rumblings are true, Cruz is already looking toward another run in 2020, so it’s very possible that Cruz will kick back and cheerfully watch Trump get his ass handed to him by Hillary Clinton in November. And if he does endorse, well, the ads write themselves. Pathological liar. Amoral. Narcissist. And of course there’s that personal Vietnam. Good times.
