Received this e-mail today from Russ Feingold’s (D. WI) U.S. Senate campaign:
Friend,
They're back. The Koch brothers just launched an attack ad backed by $2 million attacking Russ's record of fighting for our veterans.
This attack ad is utterly and completely false -- but it's a convenient way to prop up the Koch brothers' "model legislator" whose record supporting veterans is one of the worst in the country.
Here are the facts. Will you help us spread these far and wide? Pitch in $5 to our Rapid Response Fund today so we can respond to these attacks:
Senator Johnson's Veterans Record
- One of only three senators to vote against a bill to help veterans get timely care
- Voted against expanding federal veterans benefits, including job training and education assistance
- Voted against legislation to expand job training and education assistance to veterans
- Supports partially privatizing veterans care, something veterans advocacy groups resoundingly oppose

We know why the Koch brothers stepped in: to attack Russ and distract the people of Wisconsin from Ron Johnson's failed record.
But the Koch brothers will stop at nothing -- including playing fast and loose with the facts -- to buy this election for their "model legislator," Senator Ron Johnson.
Unlike the Koch brothers, our grassroots team can't shell out $2 million at the drop of a hat. But, if each of Russ's supporters pitches in $5 to our Rapid Response Fund, we can keep our positive ads up on the air longer.
I'm not surprised that the Koch brothers would stoop so low as to politicize the tragic deaths of veterans ... but, we're six months out from Election Day, and the nasty attacks are only going to get worse from here.
Thanks for chipping in to support our Rapid Response Fund.
