First, Politico.com has a lead story titled Trump campaign CEO once charged in domestic violence case. In it we learn the charges were dropped because of witness unavailability, but note
The Santa Monica, Calif., police report says that Bannon’s then-wife claimed he pulled at her neck and wrist during an altercation over their finances, and an officer reported witnessing red marks on her neck and wrist to bolster her account. Bannon also reportedly smashed the phone when she tried to call the police.
and also this:
There had been a history of physical altercations in their relationship, Bannon’s then-wife relayed. "In the beginning of their relationship, she said they [had] 3 or 4 argument that became physical and they had been going to counseling. There has not been any physical abuse in their arguments for about the past 4 years. [REDACTED] said they have been arguing a lot, but no violence,” the police report states.
Meanwhile, about the same time, The New York Post put up a story titled in divorce papers of attacking wife.
In it, you will learn that Bannon got his then girlfriend pregnant, and only agreed to marry her if the children (she was pregnant with twins) were “normal” —
He married her on April 14, 1995, three days before the twins were born.
“Bannon made it clear that he would not marry me just because I was pregnant. I was scheduled for an amniocentesis and was told by the respondent that if the babies were normal we would get married,” Piccard claimed in a document.
“After the test showed that the babies were normal the respondent sent over a prenuptial agreement for me to review.”
Piccard alleged in another document that Bannon believed in corporal punishment for the girls, even though he rarely saw them.
She cited as one example that Bannon allegedly spanked one of his toddler daughters to try to stop her from hitting her head against the crib.
Piccard claimed that when she intervened, he exploded, calling her “f-—ing crazy” and saying if he hadn’t been interrupted “she wouldn’t be banging her head anymore.”
We already know that Bannon has a rather unflattering attitude toward women, even if only from what Hillary Clinton offered in her speech today.
It is interesting that two media outlets went live with overlapping material at about the same time, just about 9 PM.
Somehow I think this story will continue…..
