If someone's going to tell you to get to the polls, it may as well be Hollywood's proverbial "Voice of God," Morgan Freeman. And that's exactly what he does in Hillary Clinton's new ad, "Show Up," which is targeted in particular at mobilizing black voters.
“What does showing up when it’s time to vote actually mean? You care about protecting his legacy and our progress,” Freeman says over images of the Obamas taking the stage Election Night in 2008. "You care about moving forward united as one. Because when we show up in full force, and when we refuse to stand by quietly, we show what it means to be stronger together."
The ad ends on an image of President Obama and Clinton campaigning together, hands clasped and raised in the air.
Its release comes during a week in which both the president and First Lady Michelle Obama have taken center stage on the campaign trail.
