Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R-NH) clearly recognizes how badly she damaged herself with her "absolutely" disastrous debate performance Monday. I mean, who in their right mind says Donald Trump is "absolutely" a role model for children? In damage control mode, she released a new ad in which she lamely declares "both Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are far from perfect, and I'm not perfect either," and then goes on to tout her "bipartisan" record. Which includes continuing to support Trump for president. Is it going to work? Not after Maggie Hassan's new, one-minute ad hits the airwaves on Friday.
The ad shows the devastating moment in the debate, the moderator asking "would you tell a child to aspire to be like Donald Trump, would you point to him as a role model?" and Ayotte's ultimate answer: "absolutely." Then it clips of a few of Trump's greatest "hits": his views on women including "Miss Piggy" and mocking Hillary Clinton's bout with pneumonia; the disabled reporter he mocked; Megyn Kelly and "blood coming out of her wherever." Then it loops back to the debate moderator, repeating the question "would you tell a child to aspire to be like Donald Trump, would you point to him as a role model?" Then the killer. Ayotte says "Absolutely. I would do that."
Oh, and to put the cherry on top:
Sorry, Ayotte, you can't explain your way out of this one.
Please donate $3 to help Maggie Hassan turn this seat blue.
