Alicia Machado introduced Hillary Clinton at a Florida campaign event on Tuesday and Trump TV, otherwise known as Fox & Friends, couldn’t start slinging mud fast enough.
“When you wheel out Alicia Machado, who can barely speak English, in Florida to plead your case not to vote for the other guy, instead of saying, "This is what I will do as president after the fireworks show when I celebrate, this is what I'm going to do." Instead she’s like, "Oh you're not going to believe how bad the other guy is," said Brian Kilmeade, the co-host of the show.
Can barely speak English? Come on, Donald Trump can barely speak English.
Jennifer Sclafani, an associate professor at Georgetown University who studies the construction of political identity through language, said Trump is an enigma — the “anti-politician” when it comes to talking.
“The impression from people I talk to just casually is that he comes off as incoherent, that you can’t really grasp the core of what he’s saying,” she said.
Machado is the former MIss Universe whom Trump allegedly called “Miss Piggy” because of weight gain. At the Florida rally she said:
"I was scared of him," she said about Trump. "He made fun of me and I didn't know how to respond. He told me that I looked ugly, and I was massive. He even called me names: Miss Piggy, Miss Housekeeping. Soon it became a joke: 'Alicia Machado was the fat Miss Universe.' I was sick for years fighting eating disorders."
She sure sounds pretty clear; maybe it’s Kilmeade who has the problem … with his hearing.
