I don’t really know what to say or what to think about this. I had been tweeting using the #ReleaseTheTranscripts hashtag for several weeks now. I know thousands of other people had too as I read that feed regularly. Last night, (Screen grab at 2:58 Pacific Time), after Hillary was hit hard on releasing the transcripts, Twitter purposely cleared that hashtag feed.
UPDATE:
1) Several people are accusing me of either being a troll or a bad speller and using an uppercase “i” instead of a lowercase “l”. This is false and deflection. #ReleaseTheTranscripts is spelled correctly. You can verify this by looking at the URLs which are in all lower case.
2) Several people are pointing out the feed is back now. That is irrelevant. Last night after the debate when twitter traffic was high, Twitter scrubbed thousands of tweets from a feed (they didn’t delete the tweets, but scrubbed the # feed) meaning when thousands of people were talking about the debates they prevented the #ReleaseTheTranscripts hashtag from going viral.
This is what Robert Epstein article ““How Google Could Rig the 2016 Election”, in Politico was talking about, only it’s Twitter doing it for Hillary. It only takes slight tweeks in algorithms of news and hashtag feeds to change the narrative of an entire election/campaign. (www.politico.com/...)
