Received this e-mail today from Attorney General Chris Koster’s (D. MO) gubernatorial campaign:
Listen --
Two billion dollars a year. That's how much our state legislature is throwing away by refusing to expand Medicaid.
That's $2 billion we should be investing annually in healthcare across the state, creating new jobs, insuring more working Missourians, and lowering the costs of healthcare services.
Watch this video to learn why I want to put partisan politics aside and work together to expand healthcare, and then sign my petition to help us make it happen.
Expanding healthcare in Missouri is one of the biggest economic development opportunities that our state has seen in decades. We simply can’t afford not to act.
Today, hundreds of of Missourians are expected to fill the halls of the Capitol to demand Medicaid Expansion. I will be standing with them, and hope you will be today. Join us by signing our petition to Missouri legislators: “Make Medicaid expansion the top priority for Missouri's families and Missouri's economy.”
We must move beyond the partisanship in Jefferson City and recommit ourselves to responsible decision making, cooperation, and progress. This is a simple solution to some of Missouri's biggest problems -- it's time to act.
With gratitude,
Chris Koster
