I’m going to be running a series where I try to explain complicated political phenomena with short, funny videos and pictures.
First up is “Why would anyone vote Republican?”
OK. Maybe you’re rich and powerful.
But why do poor people in the South vote Republican when they can vote Democratic? There’s a reason the South is the poorest region in the country after decades of failed Republican policies. This is while the Northeast, the hotbed of progressivism, is Democratic and the most prosperous part of the country.
But an even more important question is… why would Democrats vote for Hillary Clinton over Bernie Sanders. If you look at Independents, Bernie is winning by over 50%. Yet with Democrats, Clinton is ahead. In the Northeast, Clinton won every closed primary while Sanders won Rhode Island, the only open primary.
And why are people saying Sanders is a radical Communist bent on turning the US into Greece? Well, for this we turn to former, Republican presidents.
