In case you missed it, Fox News’ Andrea Tantaros claims she hasn’t been on the air in almost four months because she dared to come forward about Roger Ailes harassing her. Well, in the process, we now have solid evidence that senior executives at the fair and balanced network knew Ailes was a pervert.
Fox News claims that Tantaros was taken off the air in April because she didn’t vet her book, “Tied Up in Knots,” with the network. Specifically, they objected to the cover, which shows Tantaros bound by ropes.
But there’s one problem with that story. Politicus USA’s Sarah Jones discovered that Tantaros actually promoted the book on the February 29 edition of “Outnumbered”—and that segment is still available in Fox News’ video archive.
Just in case Fox News deletes it, here’s a screenshot that I took while writing this up at Liberal America.
So riddle me this. If Fox News’ lawyers were so concerned about this book, why is a video of a segment promoting that book still available seven months later? I have a theory—Fox News is trying to cover up behavior that could get a lot of people fired, and isn’t doing a very good job of it.
