Nordstrom announced they would no longer be carrying Ivanka Trump’s (made in China) apparel line and hinted at slumping sales of the brand:
The upscale department store said Thursday evening that it's no longer going to be carrying the Ivanka Trump label for the new season. While Nordstrom didn't address the reason directly, it indicated in a statement that it isn't selling well.
"We've said all along we make buying decisions based on performance. We’ve got thousands of brands – more than 2,000 offered on the site alone. Reviewing their merit and making edits is part of the regular rhythm of our business," the statement says.
Needless to say Donald Trump is not happy with this development and in a decidedly un-presidential move, he took the opportunity to attack the retailer for their free-market decision to dump a brand that is not performing well:
Perhaps he believes this will pressure Nordstrom to keep her fall line. If he thinks it’ll hurt Nordstrom stock, he’ll be disappointed:
Perhaps he should let the free market do its own thing and quit interfering in business decisions? Particularly ones designed to enrich his close family? And here is the reaction of Republican leaders on their boss trying to interfere in the free market:

Of course, we can imagine the outrage if President Hillary Clinton made public statements about Nordstrom dropping a Chelsea Clinton line of (made in China) goods. Impeachment committees would already be assembled in Congress.
And, on the very day he hints about our country being the target of major terror attack, you’d think he’d have better things to do. Was he really only in an intelligence briefing for 20 minutes, and then shifted his thinking to “I think I’ll attack Nordstrom for dumping my daughter”? See the timeframe outlined by Ryan Lizza below:
