Even though the P-40 Warhawk was virtually obsolete on the day that the Pacific War broke out, it remains one of the most widely-recognized fighter planes of the Second World War (mostly because, even though only a few dozen P-40s ever had the famous “Flying Tiger” paintjob, nearly every P-40 on display has it).
So here are some P-40s that I’ve encountered in various places across the country.
