URGENT: The Michigan House of Representatives is going to vote as soon as TODAY on a bill (HB 6001 4001)to eliminate the Michigan state income tax. Even a gradual phase-out will have catastrophic effects. They have no plan on the table to replace the revenue!

It’s Tuesday, and welcome to the early 2017 edition of "Resistance Recess: Save Our Healthcare, Our Communities, and Our Democracy.” Several shadow town halls and protests are being held this week in Michigan in order to call attention to the cowardice of the Republican representatives who do not want to be held accountable.
This Congressional recess is ostensibly for the sake of permitting our representatives to meet with us, their constituents, and hear what we have to say. Of course, they’re not interested — at least, not yet.
So let’s encourage them to start caring more about our opinions, our lives, and our votes. Below is a list by Congressional District of the events I’ve seen so far. If you know of more, please share them in the comments.
