Ted Cruz made his way to Wichita, Kansas today to lead a rally in support of Ron Estes, Republican State Treasurer who is running the Kansas 4th District. Cruz, who dominated the Kansas caucus process is in the state making a pitch not just to Kansas voters, but also to Estes himself, in hopes of picking up a new potential member of the Freedom Caucus.
With all of this at stake, you’d think the conservative darling would draw a giant crowd — instead, Cruz rally left enough holes for anyone who wanted to get pretty close to the front with not a lot of effort.
Cruz began his efforts by attacking Democrat James Thompson, and his connections to Bernie Sanders:
With a small crowd able to get close, you’d think Cruz could hammer home his point — but low and behold, thanks to timing issues, the Texas Senator found himself drowned out by an only slightly larger wind creation machine:
Cruz efforts come at the same time that President Donald Trump releases a robocall in the district, urging the election of Estes, saying he needs “his vote” for his agenda in the future.
With early voting closed at noon today, the only issue left is in person voting at labeled precinct sites tomorrow — sites which have changed.
The DCCC chimed in today as well with outreach phone calls, hoping to not just inform voters of why they should vote for Thompson, but offer them an opportunity to know where their new voting location may be.

While last minute is… last minute, every effort is certainly appreciated. Especially since one of the biggest issues that canvassers and phone bankers repor are that numerous people aren’t aware of an election at all tomorrow.
Thankfully, you have a chance to change that. If you’ve got some free time tonight, throw in the effort and phone bank on behalf of James Thompson at this link: www.votejamesthompson.com/...
