What I do know is that, having just come off with an impressive 48% plus, first place finish and facing a runoff against a Republican in the heavily Red 6th district of Georgia, the last thing he needs is to be turned into a political football for purposes of a faction fight by those who put attacks on Democratic Outreach Chair Sen. Bernie Sanders above all other considerations.
Seriously, can anyone who chooses to entangle Ossoff’s campaign in this kind of internecine bloodletting believably present themselves as being concerned foremost in building a Democratic Majority? I think not.
The fact is that Ossoff’s thus far winning coalition is made up of both Sanders supporters and HRC supporters. They have put aside their differences in order to pursue the larger prize. Treating his candidacy as nothing more than fodder for anti-Sanders attacks does nothing to strengthen this effort and has every possibility of splintering and demoralizing the Democratic coalition prior to the June runoff.
No one who genuinely supports the effort to elect Ossoff could endorse such opportunistic sabotage.
It’s time for people in this “community” to make a decision. Is this a place for those interested in electing “More and better Democrats.”? Or is it really just a comfortable home for a particular party faction?

If anyone doubts the existence of people who put their right to criticize/attack Sanders above all other considerations, they need look no farther than some of the comments below for ample examples of such.
Again, Democrats in Georgia have put the divisions of the past year and half behind them and have unified in support of Jon Ossoff. Anyone who prefers to reopen those wounds in the interest of factional strife is actively sabotaging those efforts.
