Hey, I just listened to Donald Trump on Fox News. He actually said that rich people are telling him they don’t want tax cuts and to just cut the taxes of the middle class. So he says that’s what his tax plan will do. Really? The elimination of the estate tax will solely benefit the middle class?
I think this is the Trump strategy. Tell the people one thing and do whatever with benefit Trump and friends. The voters are so out of tune with what is happening, they will never notice the difference (Remember: “I love the poorly educated”). By discrediting the MSM by branding them as FAKE NEWS and supporting and promoting the message-controlled network (FOX News), these people will believe whatever Trump says. And if something does negatively affect the masses and they speak out, Trump will simply blame it on someone else and they will believe that too.
Trump doesn’t need the Democrat populated voting districts, which I define as mostly urban areas served with a busy airports, to win. They can cry and squeal as much as they want. The way the Electoral College is divided, Trump just needs to keep a minority of the voters spread over the middle states to keep the faith…and for now, he’s doing that.
As for getting his policies passed, Trump is counting on the 2018 election cycle to elect more right wing conservatives from the middle states, first by primarying the moderates from these areas and then winning the general in November. These are the areas the MSM need to focus on going forward to get a better read on how 2018 will play out. Trump is ahead in his thinking in these areas and the voters there believe whatever he says, even if it’s not what he’s really doing.
