Kellyanne Conway’s excuse for Donald Trump’s tweet supporting alleged child molester Roy Moore is that he hasn’t been “briefed” well during his trip to Asia. This was part of Conway’s Sunday appearance on This Week on ABC. She tried to talk about North Korea, but host Martha Raddatz brought her back to Moore and the allegations. Of course Conway also said if the allegations against Moore were true, that would be not good. Raddatz stopped Conway’s bullshit express train cold with this:
Raddatz: What's the standard of proof here? It's one thing to say this is terrible conduct. It is terrible conduct. I'm not sure anyone would disagree with you; but the question is, and you are an advisor to the president, you have been following this: what is your standard of proof here? I mean you either believe the women or you don't and this isn’t a trial.
Conway runs a blindingly fast circle around the need for due process and how a certain former president (Clinton) had accusations that weren’t covered in the media.* Conway wraps up her spin class by saying that she denounces that kind of conduct and that if anyone has committed that conduct and is currently in office, they too should step aside. I guess no one told her about her boss?
