1. There’s a whole chapter in his book about how the Dems thoroughly vetted him for weeks; how they repeatedly asked him if there was anything he needed to reveal. Either he wasn’t honest; he blocked it out and/or he and they weren’t thorough. We need to think how this can not slip through in the future.
2. To the extent there’s a silver lining, it’s Norm Coleman kicking himself (and his staff if he can find them) for failed to unearth this, from two years before the campaign. All Norm has now is Schadenfreude, but we can have the same because he blew it.
