Hundreds of Russians have been arrested after a wave of anti-corruption protests swept the country on Sunday.
The demonstrations were coordinated by opposition politician Alexei Navalny after he accused Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev of taking bribes in the form of yachts and lavish mansions.
Expect these actions to get bigger in the coming months. Russia is running out of money thanks to low oil prices and sanctions. By summer, the state may have to start raiding its ‘rainy day fund’ and pension accounts to keep the country running.
