Somewhere in the White House, Donald Trump is wearing his bathrobe and shuffling through the halls. Those staffers he passes quickly avert their eyes—because he never remembers to tie that thing—but they can’t help hearing what the Orange One mutters as he passes. “Obama…. Obama… Obama...”
No surprise then that when Trump visited the eternally Trump-friendly Barney Fox and Friends, and saw this news …
Former Gitmo detainee killed by a U.S. airstrike in Yemen; at least 122 former Gitmo detainees have re-engaged in terrorism
Trump immediately re-broadcast the information, but with his own delusions attached.
122 vicious prisoners, released by the Obama Administration from Gitmo, have returned to the battlefield. Just another terrible decision!
Notice the extra bit that Trump, incorrectly, added to the original text? It’s that “released by the Obama administration” bit. You can tell it’s from Trump, because that’s simply not true.

Another day, another Donald Trump lie about President Obama. Just like his lie about President Obama tapping his phones at Trump Tower.
Trump can’t stand comparisons of his miserable accomplishments to those of President Obama.
Gnawing at Trump, according to one of his advisers, is the comparison between his early track record and that of Obama in 2009, when amid the Great Recession he enacted an economic stimulus bill and other big-ticket items.
Which helps explain why, though any number of people pointed out the error of Trump’s initial tweet, that didn’t stop him from re-tweeting it an hour later at the official POTUS account.
Repetition doesn’t make it true. But Donald Trump’s utter inability to admit the slightest error never stops being terrifying.
