Regardless of what we think of Mike Pence (and the fact that Pence may, ultimately, face his own crisis over the holes in his Mike Flynn story), Pence, at the very least, wouldn't be stupid enough to put American lives at risk as Trump has done.
If the most important task of any president is to keep Americans safe, then Trump has failed, and failed in a way that could have disastrous consequences immediately and in the longer term.
Should ISIS accelerate their attack plans based on this leaking by Trump, then citizens are placed in greater danger today. Right now.
If other nations opt to no longer share extremely sensitive information with the U.S. because Trump can't be trusted to protect the sources of that intelligence, then Americans are at greater risk because of planned attacks we may not see due to a blackout from foreign sources.
If a foreign intelligence source loses a key human asset because of Trump’s leak, then, once again, Americans are at greater risk of being victims of a terror attack because of our decreased “eyes and ears” on the ground in the most hostile of environments.
I don't think anyone here trusts Pence to be anything more than a religious zealot and a corporate tool. But he is, at the least, a somewhat competent administrator.
Trump, no surprise, has proven to be as inept and disinterested a president as his real estate career had indicated. He's a spoiled simpleton with a massive ego who truly believes that he doesn't have anything to learn. We could live with one of those traits, but being both stupid and egotistically delusional about one’s own intelligence are not survivable.
American lives are at risk and Trump is solely responsible for putting us at risk. He must go. Now.
Republicans, wake up — before something truly heinous and barbaric happens on your watch.
