Child-bride-loving, cat-scratch-fever-having Ted Nugent was on WABC Radio in New York City Thursday. He had this to say concerning Wednesday’s shooting in Virginia:
“I’m not going to engage in that kind of hateful rhetoric anymore,” Nugent said Thursday on “Curtis & Eboni,” a political talk show on WABC Radio in New York.
Silwa and Fox News host Eboni K. Williams grilled Nugent on “hateful” rhetoric, which the rock star is no stranger to. Nugent has made threats against former President Obama several times in the past, including telling Obama to “suck on my machine gun.” He also made inflammatory remarks about Hillary Clinton, calling her a “devilbitch” who “hates everything good about America.”
This was a rich statement coming from a man who called Hillary Clinton a “toxic cunt” and President Barack Obama a “sub-human mongrel.” Oh, there was also the time a couple of months ago when the Nuge shared a violent Bernie-murdering-Hillary video on social media. The self-serving, little too late-a-kin Nugent tried to explain some of those statements.
“When I made those wild-ass comments, on stage, about then-Senator Hillary Clinton and then-senator Barack Obama, I don’t know if you can grasp the degree of adrenalin and intensity and sheer over-the-top animal spirit and attitude that I live on stage,” he said. “I’ve got to take that deep breath.”
Here’s Nugent back in April of 2017 … literally less than two months ago.
Mr. Nugent chortled when asked if he regretted his comments about Mr. Obama and Mrs. Clinton.
“No! I will never apologize for calling out evil people,” he said, arguing that Mr. Obama “intentionally dismantled the American dream for eight years.”
The Damn Yankees guitarist is best known for saying wildly hate-filled things, bow hunting, and playing in a classic rock-style that he’s somehow made seem racist. But the tagline here is this: Ted Nugent is a morally abhorrent guy.
