Across the top of the page now is a stripe that shows you some of the latest results we have from Civiqs, which you can learn more about from kos’ announcement diary: Announcing Civiqs: the coolest thing I've helped build since Daily Kos.
Behold, Civiqs—a division of Kos Media, separate from Daily Kos, with its own team but under the same corporate umbrella. And what does Civiqs offer? Exactly what we hoped for: the ability to scientifically track data EVERY SINGLE DAY on dozens of issues, candidates, and campaigns, so we can see how events affect public opinion in real time.
Starting today, we are publicly releasing DAILY tracking data on Donald Trump’s job approvals, Mitch McConnell’s and Paul Ryan’s favorability rating, the 2018 generic congressional ballot, gun control, and the favorability ratings for both the Democraticand Republican parties. The data that we release at civiqs.com/results will be updated with new results EVERY DAY.
You can read more about the project and some analysis of some data at the Civiqs tag. Daily Kos has a long history of commissioning original polls, and Civiqs is us going all in to try to get accurate, useful data about public opinion.
The ticker lets you see at a glance if anything interesting is happening with a handful of these nationwide polls, and you can click through to get to the full data page with crosstabs on any of them. Hang on to your hats and glasses, kids, because we just have 2 ½ weeks to go before this very very important election day.
On election night, that space will have a running summary of the results. Meanwhile, please leave any comments, complaints, praise, kitten photos, or chocolate below. We need to keep the dementors away!
