Hello, Peeps, and welcome! Thank you for having me here this fine caturdai afternoon! Let’s get right to it after a word from our sponsor:
Here is a gentle reminder of how we do things:
Pooties are cats; Woozles are dogs. Goggies are dogs, too. Birds...are birds! Peeps are people. PWB Peeps are Pooties, Woozle, Birds People. Neat, huh.
Do not “Troll” the Pootie Peeps Diaries.
If you hate animal diaries, leave now. No harm, no foul; these aren’t to everyone’s taste.
You are welcome to share photos of your own animals, or ones you just like.
If you would like a pic from the comment threads, please ask the poster. He/she may have a copyright to those pics. Many thanks!
If you have health/behaviour issues with your pootie or woozle, feel free to bring it to the community. We just may have someone whose experience can help.
There are some pics we never post: snakes, creepy crawlies, any and all photos that depict or encourage human cruelty toward animals. These are considered “out of bounds” and will not be tolerated.
If you’re not sure about an issue...please ask. Someone is always glad to help.
As many of you know, Friday, February 9th was National Pizza Day. There were celebrations throughout the land.
Pizza is delicious, just like all pies. Did you know that there is not just a National Pie Day (January 23rd), but also a National Pi Day (March 14th)? That’s twice the Pie! We have our priorities straight in this country sometimes.
November 26th is National Cake Day. I think that should be every day, tbh.
Do you like spaghetti? Of course you do! Make sure you have some on January 4th, also known as National Spaghetti Day!
Not all of these days are about food, though. Cake and cream cheese brownies are awesome and all, but they don’t keep the rain off our heads. Speaking of which, February 10th is National Umbrella Day (how’s that for a segue?)
That seems anticlimactic, actually. Oh! It’s also National Cream Cheese Brownie Day! Which is really weirdly specific.
What about today, you ask? Today is National Cabbage Day...
...and National Random Acts of Kindness Day!
Of course, it doesn’t take a national holiday to celebrate any of these things, especially that last one. The world can be a hard, cold place. It’s us who make it livable by how we treat one another. Kindness is ultimately a simple thing, but it can make all the difference.
To continue the celebrations:
Pizza
Pie!
Pi!
Cake
Spaghetti
Umbrella
Cream Cheese Brownies
Cabbage
Kindness
Thank you again for the opportunity to join you for this Caturdai! My apologies, but I had a last minute family thing come up (by which I mean a trip to a museum with a group of family went from “we should” to “we’re going” within the last 24 hours). I’ll be here later in the afternoon. Until then, play good and be nice to each other! ❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜
