They are real. They are not witches.
And they have “declared war” on the American way of life — “Information Warfare”.
As Sun Tzu said, “Know the Enemy” … (and a bit more):
“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”
This post is dedicated towards exposing those Russian Trolls in our midst. Given the numbers of microtargets they reach, most of us have likely experienced their divisive “messaging work” already ...

The activities of Russia’s shadowy “
Internet Research Agency,” which pumped out divisive social media content in an attempt to drive Americans apart, continue to come to light. According to disclosures
made to Congress,
the troll farm’s posts reached 126 million Facebook users in the U.S. over the last couple of years.
The operation also put over 131,000 messages on Twitter and 1,100 videos on YouTube, according to the disclosures, reported Monday in The New York Times, ahead of congressional hearings this week on the matter of Russian interference in last year’s election.
Facebook previously told Congress about 3,000 ads that it said reached 10 million Americans, in an apparent campaign to divide people on issues ranging from race to gun rights. Now, it’s talking about around 80,000 pieces of content that initially reached 29 million people, some of whom then showed them to tens of millions more.

You can now check to see if you follow Russian propaganda on Facebook and Instagram
The tool won’t tell you if you saw or shared any of their posts, however
Last month, Facebook announced that it would create a tool for users to see if they follow pages and accounts that were linked to Russian-backed groups. That tool is now live, and you can see for yourself if any of the pages you liked were created by the Internet Research Agency.
You can find the tool in Facebook’s Help Center, and it will show you a list of the various pages that you follow that are linked to the Kremlin-backed group, as well as when you liked and followed it. [...]

NBC News on Wednesday published thousands of tweets created by Russian troll accounts during the 2016 presidential race that were deleted by Twitter after the company tied them to "malicious activity."
A database published on NBC's website of more than 200,000 tweets shows Russian attempts to pose as political activists on both sides of the spectrum, with influential accounts masquerading as Black Lives Matter activists and even the Tennessee Republican Party.
The hundreds of thousands of tweets ranged from inflammatory subjects such as allegations of Democrats practicing witchcraft and radical anti-police rhetoric to more benign messages, such as praise for former first lady Michelle Obama.
Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats warned that Russia would pursue similar tactics in the 2018 midterm elections if not confronted by the U.S.

Here are a few sample of Twitter Deleted Tweets [.xls] written by the scores of Russian Trolls, employed by Internet Research Agency. Most of these divisive memes are not nice. I would place a bet though, if brought before the “intended audience”, that they were often “effective” … (my apologies for their thinly veiled hate) ...

That is a small sample of the Russian Trolls’ work. It ranges the gamut of division and hate. And they are regrouping for the next attack, on America’s Social Media news-feeds — Round II.

That was Chapter One of Putin-inspired “Active Measures”, and their intrusions into Our Elections Messaging, run out of on-the-ground operations on America soil.
Get Ready for Chapter Two, because as the Mueller Indictment yesterday revealed — and as our own Intelligence Directors have warned — from the Putin’s perspective ‘this is war’ — an “Information Warfare against the United States of America” … and they are not done.
A 37-page indictment filed by Special Counsel Robert Mueller on Friday lays out the most detailed picture of how the Russian government sought to interfere in the 2016 election, meddling with voters to sow division in American society, and encouraging the election of Donald Trump in what the defendants referred to as “information warfare against the United States of America.”
“The conspiracy had as its object impairing, obstructing, and defeating the lawful governmental functions of the United States by dishonest means in order to enable the Defendants to interfere with U.S. political and electoral processes, including the 2016 U.S. presidential election,” the indictment states. There are 16 defendants, including three organizations and 13 individuals, who are charged with conspiracy to defraud the United States by impairing enforcement of election law as well as wire fraud and bank fraud.
The document is the most complete set of allegations offered by the government yet about one subset of Russian interference, going far beyond an intelligence-community report released in early 2017. At its peak, the alleged conspiracy had a budget of more than $1.25 million per month for activities in the U.S. and elsewhere.

American patriots are monitoring the on-going active measures of these Russian Influence sites. They’re still at it. Their latest mis-information campaign has been to falsely tie the Parkland shooter to Antifa, instead of the White Nationalist group where he was trained.
Just your Foreign Government’s Dollars at work there, people …
