I signed up to do some volunteer work at the 2018 Netroots Nation conference so...anyone who visits New Orleans for the conference will be able to meet me face-to-face.
I’m looking forward to NN18 as well as being able to visit New Orleans along with a side trip to visit a relative after the close of the conference.
I’m especially looking forward to visiting The Big Easy so that I can sample the culinary delights that I have heard so much about.
I was talking with a friend of mine who makes a yearly trip to visit relatives in Louisiana and Mississippi and she told me about a dish that I have never tried.
Now, I’ll try almost anything once simply for the sake of being able to say that I’ve had it once.
If I really like it. I’ll try it more than once.
The most exotic item that I can recall eating was an appetizer of sea eel. It was served with a brush of hoisin sauce...I loved the sauce but I found the eel to be rather bland...I’d eat it again if it were served at a dinner party or something but I doubt that I would pay for it...on the other hand, if I run across eel cooked in a different way, I probably would try it again.
Today’s question: What is the most exotic dish that you can recall eating? Would you recommend it?
