President Trump’s action on February 28, 2017, when he repealed President Obama’s law regarding background checks on people with mental health issues, is directly responsible for the tragedy at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida,,,,,,Yes or No?
If you believe the answer is yes, like I do, then contact your Congressional representatives and tell them so, and demand they take affirmative action to restrict gun access. Tell them to reject President Trump’s response to the Parkland tragedy; Trump wants to put another 600,000+ guns into the culture by arming teachers. Tell your representative the answer is fewer guns in the culture, not more guns in the culture.
How many times have you heard Trump comment that he was giving the country back to the people? Here’re his remarks from early in his inaugural address
“What truly matters is not which party controls our government, but whether our government is controlled by the people.
January 20th 2017, will be remembered as the day the people became the rulers of this nation again.”
Yet today, with the huge majority of the American population (some say 80%) demanding more stringent gun control measures, who does he listen to? He listens to a very small minority of single issue extremists who dominate the leadership of the NRA and they champion more and wider availability of guns for the country—while even the majority of NRA membership believe the country needs better gun control measures.
As is his wont President Trump is way, way wrong on this issue,,,as he is on practically every other important issue facing the country. His MAGA does not mean what he says it does! No, what it means is “Making America’s Grief Again...and Again...and Again”. And this will continue as long as he remains POTUS.
Leave it to the BBC to point out the POTUS’ lunacy when he cries its’ a mental health issue while he cuts funding for mental health in his budget BBC www.bbc.com/...
