Republican extremist Corey Stewart—who threw his hat into the Virginia Senate ring after losing his party’s 2017 gubernatorial primary—has hit a new low in his Trump-endorsed campaign against incumbent Tim Kaine. For Stewart, a Minnesota native who ran for governor on his “Confederate heritage,” hitting a new low may seem nearly impossible, considering that he is proudly endorsed by Steve Bannon, and declared his “most vicious, ruthless campaign” against Kaine would help the “silent majority” “take back our country” from the “violent, unhinged left.”
But nevertheless, he persisted; check out this excerpt from his latest fundraising email, which, full disclosure, was posted to Twitter by a Kaine campaign staffer.
Based on this email, it appears Stewart didn’t get Republican (and fellow Virginian) Tom Garrett’s memo about Russian involvement in the Charlottesville tragedy.
Again, this is low, even for a blatant bigot like him. But is it surprising? Not really. Remember, this is a man who both was fired by the Trump campaign in 2016, yet also insists that he “was Trump before Trump was Trump.” He also took his sweet time severing ties with vocal hate-monger Paul Nehlen, so this new low remains quite consistent with his brand.
His campaign website’s “About” page reads like a missive from the Daily Stormer:
Corey unapologetically stands with President Trump and will fight for his America First Agenda. Corey will fight to defeat political correctness, protect Virginia's history, crack down on illegal immigration, and stand up to the Washington elites.
His “Issues” page is arguably even worse.
Every illegal immigrant arrested should be deported – no questions asked. Stewart will work side-by-side with the Trump Administration to make that happen.
Corey is 100% pro-life, believing that every life is precious and needs to be protected from the moment of conception. This is not an issue to which Corey will only give lip service. He will work to defund Planned Parenthood and fight for tougher restrictions on abortion.
Lowering taxes is the key to prosperity. America deserves to have the lowest tax bill of any nation on earth.
Since the right to self-defense is God-given, Virginians should not have to ask permission to exercise that right. National Concealed Carry reciprocity legislation would make that a reality, and help protect against future attacks on the Second Amendment by liberals, the media, and the federal government.
And how can anyone forget how much Stewart adores Donald Trump? Speaking of forgetting, do you think the grouchy Cheeto in chief even remembers firing him in 2016?
The good news is, despite Stewart’s latest antics (and all of those before them), Kaine still holds a whopping 23-point lead over the Confederacy-lovin’ midwesterner in a MAGA hat. Progressive candidates in other races aren’t so safe, though. Want to help Make Corey Mad Again? Donate to those races and help flip the Senate in November.
