Great carpool dad, alleged sexual assaulter, and historic liar Brett Kavanaugh is weighing whether or not he will remain absent and allow his old white friends in the Senate to do the dirty work of cross examining the woman who has accused him of attempting to rape her at a high school party in the early 1980s. Christine Blasey Ford is being set up by Republicans so desperate to get “wins” that they are willing to overlook one of the least qualified Supreme Court nominees in history and his alleged immoral character, and instead punish the potential victim of his crimes a second time by publicly blaming her in some shape or form.
Republican tool and Senate Judiciary Committee chair Chuck Grassley already magically produced a letter signed by some 65 women who did not go to school with Kavanaugh, but felt like they could vouch for his character. Christine Blasey Ford’s former high school Holton-Arms School was the all-girls equivalent to Kavanaugh’s all-boys Georgetown Preparatory School. On Sunday, the head of Holton-Arms, Susanna A. Jones posted a statement of support that was reprinted in the Washington Post.
In a recent article, The Washington Post describes an alleged assault of one of our alumnae by Supreme Court nominee Brett M. Kavanaugh that occurred in the early 1980s, while she was a student at Holton-Arms. In these cases, it is imperative that all voices are heard. As a school that empowers women to use their voices, we are proud of this alumna for using hers.
Now 731 Holton-Arms alumni have signed their support (at the time of this diary) and posted it on StandWithBlaseyFord.com.
We are alumnae of the Holton-Arms School, and we are writing in support of Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, a fellow Holton graduate.
We believe Dr. Blasey Ford and are grateful that she came forward to tell her story. It demands a thorough and independent investigation before the Senate can reasonably vote on Brett Kavanaugh's nomination to a lifetime seat on the nation's highest court.
Dr. Blasey Ford's experience is all too consistent with stories we heard and lived while attending Holton. Many of us are survivors ourselves.
We demand a thorough and independent investigation of these charges before any vote on Brett Kavanaugh.
The fact remains that Brett Kavanaugh has shown himself to be a liar, so taking his “word” for anything at this point is suspect.
