Democratic officials have been questioning for some time if Adam Thomas didn’t commit election fraud. The evidence seemed overwhelming. An address listed as his that no one had seen him or his family residing in. A prior filing at another address where he is known to reside.
Today, Johnson County Kansas District attorney found the evidence compelling enough to issue out an arrest.
According to the Kansas City Star:
An Olathe man running for a seat in the Kansas House of Representatives was arrested Thursday on a charge of election fraud.
Adam T. Thomas, who is the Republican candidate for the 26th District House seat, is charged in Johnson County District Court with election perjury.
The charge is a felony and alleges that on May 31, Thomas submitted a falsified document to state or county election officials.
Thomas, 35, was arrested Thursday morning and booked into the Johnson County jail. His bond was set at $2,500.
Thomas was set to face Democratic candidate Deann Mitchell. That is, if he can stay out of jail and beat felony charges.
