… and was charged with DUI in Maryland weeks before the November election.
Delaware, home of the not-witchy-woman Christine O’Donnell, seems to generate oddball candidates. Because we’re such a small state (the joke is “three counties at low tide”), they do seem more visible in our local and regional news.
We have a Scott Walker too, Republican/Democrat and wingnut.
Walker made news last week after announcing he has no intentions to remove any of his campaign signs that can still be found nailed to trees across the state because he has plans to run for President in 2020.
We can only hope he’s on the ballot in Wisconsin.
For the record, he ran for congress last fall against first-term incumbent Lisa Blunt Rochester, a Democrat, after shocking the state’s Republicans by primarying their chosen candidate. Primary voters in Sussex County went heavily for Walker. The state party essentially excommunicated Walker by omitting his name from all Republican materials and refusing to lend financial support.
He has a record of party-switching, so look out. He may be coming back as a Democrat.
